Ana is a poet originally from Massachusetts. After getting her B.A. in English at Skidmore College, she began her teaching career at a university in southern China. She completed her master’s in education at Harvard in 2012.
After returning overseas, she met her husband, Sombat, in Shanghai. They traveled all over Asia, moving to Bangkok and then NYC. Ana was offered full funding at George Mason’s MFA program in Virginia. There she taught literature and writing classes before being awarded a fellowship.
Ana and Sombat settled in Raleigh, NC, where they live with their son.
